It’s been like almost one week since my last post. Not like I hate all of you, but I’ve been more disciplined with Learnemy. I realized that by tagging along other founders (esp hardcore ones) really really help pace myself. I’ve been so ill-disciplined with my baby, spending time on youtube admiring dope rap artists than on doing something about Learnemy.

So yea, tag along someone to keep yourself disciplined.

Anyway, I’m picking up a little ruby on rails and css/html (yea, I still can’t tell both apart), holing up at Hackerspace when I don’t have to go to work for last week and being the part-time sidekick of a pair of awesome techics. I’ve been introduced to this site and hence my awesome title.

Oh, and you guys rock seriously.

<3 all of you. I don’t even know what I’ve done in my life to deserve this. :”)

Although it doesn’t make a difference if I have the most votes or the 2nd most votes, it gives me great confidence that Learnemy has the most votes. To all you who saw my previous tweet/s of me fretting out being the solo kid in a midst of adults telling my Learnemy story, I will kick some ass.

And oh, do check out pandamian too! cool product they’re building (talking like Yoda not intended).

Part of my funding strategy is to join business plan competitions and win them. I figured this is the best way to get money without giving away equity or any form of commitment. I totally felt like a hypocrite typing the plans because I buy into the business models over business plans idea, and really, entrepreneurship is more of doing than writing/saying. Sighs. I feel like I’m selling my soul for money. I better win.

Anyway, there’s a high chance that I will be pitching at e27′s Founders Drinks next week. The event is created in a way that founders can nominate themselves to pitch and a selected few goes into voting system where 2 companies with the most votes get the chance to pitch. There’s currently only 2 companies in the voting system now. :D

But just in case a third company get into the voting system, could you please do me favor to vote for Learnemy here?

please please please?
(Can you really say no to a cat staring at you like this? Just click here and vote already.)

Oh, does anyone know of business plan competitions that allow foreigners targeting the US market to join? Since I’m already selling my soul by writing a business plan, I might as well go all the way out. :)

Somehow I have a feeling nobody will read that previous question because the cat is too distracting.

For the past few days, people have found my blog via keywords like ‘founder institute wait list’, ‘founder institute test’, ‘noc interview’, ‘noc reject’ and terms along these lines.

When I put my experiences of NOC and Founder Institute together, I can safely say that it doesn’t matter if you don’t get into a program because there are better programs out there; and if you are enrolled into a program, be a good finisher.

Oh yea, and don’t lie. Don’t be anybody else other than yourself.  I was 10mins late for the 20mins second round of interview NOC and was honest about the reason why (go do an internal search on my blog to find out why. It’s kinda embarrassing to type it again). Although I immediately hate myself for not using a good excuse, I was admitted into the program.

Even though I was in the FI waiting list, I graduated. I’m pretty sure there are people who enrolled without knowing a waiting list existed but didn’t graduate.

And of course, trust God. It doesn’t make sense that my life make so much sense looking it from the rear-view mirror.

All the best guys!

Check this comment I received yesterday on my idea. Ok ok, I know you’re probably lazy to click a new link then come back to this page to read more so I’ll just paste a screenshot here.

Yes, Paygr is a new company who’s an indirect competitor of Learnemy. We’re so similar that even our belief statement of ‘helping people making a living doing what they like to do’ is almost the same. (Here’s a fist that hits all you who don’t believe in it…. (oh wait, they will make a strong case against that belief if they fail…. (oh whatever)))

(Parenthesis overload)

Anyway, that’s probably a prank and not the real deal, I don’t even think my SEO for this blog or Learnemy is good enough to attract such attention.

Anyway anyway, smart people are every where around the world thinking the same idea that anyone else probably have. The secret ingredient is a cake mix by itself.
