Blood ties are only valid if you need replacements for parts of your body, like a bone marrow, kidney or liver. Family is not defined by blood ties but by effort, contribution and commitment. You are not my family even though you are technically, and you can be my family without being biologically related.

The only day that homosexuals are justifiably denied of their rights is the day that we, as a human race, end violence completely. I mean, how can you sanction war, hate, discrimination yet deny someone’s right to have their love recognized by the state?

Isn’t it weird that you get different responses if your cells are attacking other cells versus if you having some imbalance of neurotransmitters in your head? I understand the fear of being hurt, but if I have cancer and a couple of months left, don’t you think I’ll want to live large and do whatever I want?

“Don’t eat shark’s fin! Those people cut the fins off and sharks can’t live without their fins, they die!!!” is the stupidest anti-finning reason I’ve heard. Go ahead and tell me the chicken on your dinner plate is still alive. Meat is murder and most animals die painfully. So respect the animal that gave up its life for you – always finish the meat.
